Desert Migration and a conversation on HIV Long-Term Survivors

In celebration of the U.S. Broadcast Television Premiere of Desert Migration this week on KQED Truly CA, the amazing folks over at the DOC Film Institute at San Francisco State University and HIV Story Project
Marc Smolowitz put together a round table discussion about the film and the issues for HIV+ #longtermsurvivors that it tackles. Vincent Crisostomo from 50-Plus Network at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Tez Anderson from Let’s Kick ASS — AIDS Survivor Syndrome and our execllent host Marc Smolowitz of HIV Story Project and producer of Desert Migration.

This piece runs a full hour, and it’s chock full of ideas that have major resonance for survivors everywhere.

I invite you to watch and contemplate your own place at the table in the 36+ year story that is the HIV/AIDS Pandemic.

Special thanks to Soumyaa Kapil Behrens and Robert Barbarino from #docfilm for your vision and for making this recorded conversation possible.

We had a wonderful audience asking great questions. Additional thanks to the audience members and crew who helped make it a very moving afternoon for all involved. Watch, comment, share…

Also watch the video HIV Story Project made for Let’s Kick ASS.
